About The Bell At Iden

The Bell at Iden is a traditional village pub dates back, in parts, to the 15th century. Legend has it, that the original building was used as accommodation for the monks that built Iden church. Its is also thought that there is a tunnel between the pub cellar and the church, although this has not been discovered, we do keep our eye out for the vicar turning up in the cellar!

Today, we serve homemade food, real ales, continental lagers, and have a superb wine list. We welcome both well behaved children and dogs.

We have wonderful beer gardens for enjoying the summer, and a warm cosy snug with a wood burning fire

For good pub grub in kent, or good pub grub in east sussex, The bell at Iden is right on the border of the 2 counties.

All homemade Sunday roast £7.95

We have 2 delightful bed and breakfast rooms, in a converted stable, both are en suite with kingsize beds with duvets, televisions with Freeview, and tea and coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast is served in our dinning room, or alfresco on our patio( weather permitting) the choice is yours.
