John Pearson LMPA is a qualified Master Photographer based in Dumfries in South West Scotland, available for assignments nationally and internationally, specialising in informal, contemporary wedding and portrait photography.
We prefer to discuss your requirements in advance of the wedding or portrait shoot to "break the ice" and to ensure that everything is covered.
Weddings
We generally provide complete coverage of weddings, from the bride getting ready at home, arriving at the ceremony, through the ceremony itself (subject to the minister / registrar and the location itself), the drinks reception and the speeches. There is a mix of formal and informal photographs. For larger events we often use two photographers to ensure more complete coverage.
Your photographs are displayed on our website soon after the wedding for you and your guests to enjoy. We offer a wide variety of options for albums and re-prints, all at reasonable prices. Album design is very personal and we like to work closely with the client to get it "just right".
Portraits
Different types are available, from studio-style to lifestyle. You can come to us for studio photography or let us come and photograph you in your home or garden. Or we can move further afield into woods, by a lake, to a ruined castle or abbey, or down on the beach. The choice is yours, but we are there to advise every step of the way.
You should allow 1-2 hours for a portrait shoot but we impose no time limits on you. If you book a session with John he is available all day if necessary.
A style that has become very popular recently is our more intimate "Little Black Book" photography. Dress more daringly, look more sensual. These photographs make a stunning gift for your loved-one.
