It is also a superb location for a romantic wedding honeymoon and as accomodation for a pre-wedding bridal party.

Situated in the picturesque village of historic Alloway, close to the main town of Ayr on the west coast of Scotland, Doonbank cottage has glorious views of the idyllic River Doon, which runs for half a mile as the property's eastern boundary. The woodland contains deer, rabbits, squirrels, pheasants, partridges, quails, owls, herons, ducks, blue-tits and many more species, offering excellent opportunities for bird watching and riverside walks.

Doonbank cottage is only very a short walk from the historic Brig O'Doon, Alloway Kirk and Burns Cottage.
