Clifford Garrett is a qualified professional Furniture Restorer engaged in the conservation and restoration of Fine Antique, Period, and Modern furniture. Restoration services include woodwork repairs - Cabinet Making, Veneering, Carving, Turning, and an extensive range of surface Refinishing and Polishing (French Polishing, Wax Polishing, etc.) with emphasis given to the retention of acquired surface patina. Clifford Garrett offers an Architectural Restoration service for repair and hand-finishing of most wooden artefacts and architectural features, including floors and flooring, wall panelling, staircases, balustrades, etc.
Based in Northiam near Rye, East Sussex, estimates are given freely for all items brought to workshop (by appointment only please) or within local travelling distance. Greater distances are by negotiation. Collection of smaller items by own vehicle with larger item carriage arranged through independent carrier.
