About Citypublife
Citypublife is a unique search facility to find pubs and bars in and around London. Sports, Function Room Hire, Events, Theme Nights, Facilities, Food and much more can be found inside the search index at Citypublife.
The Pub and Bar search facility began as an idea in November 2001 and as at 22nd March 2008 it has 578 up to date searchable pub and bar websites inside the database.
In August 2008 it is hoped that version ii will begin replacing Citypublife which will allow much more functionality for both the licensee and general public.
Our most successful areas to date are Function Room bookings, Reservations and Sports, however, the Events and Theme Nights section are beginning to attract a lot of attention. Karaoke and Quiz Nights in particular.
Licensees can have their own website inside the Citypublife search facility for only £15 per month. This includes the venue photo's, menu's, wine lists, promoting all sports being shown, events, theme nights such as St Patrick's Day, Valentines, New Years Eve, Mother's Day, Pubs open Christmas Day etc. etc.
We are highly successful in promoting pubs and bars with Sky Sports and Setanta. The recent Hatton v Mayweather boxing fest saw Citypublife completely pack all 9 venues that were listed as showing it with over 5,000 visitors trying to book space for up to 20,000 people. It was our busiest few days since we started.
Maccrinelli v Haye was not quite as popular but again, we managed to do our bit to help fill the pubs and bars showing it. We await in anticipation of Calzaghe v Hopkins on April 20th 2008.
We receive approximately 30 - 100 measured function room or venue hire booking requests every day during the 5 day work week, however, that slows down a bit at weekends where most Citypublife visitors look for sports and events.
Having proved its worth in London, we will be taking version ii across the nation, so look out for us. Will update this listing when version ii has launched.
