Birsay Bay Tearoom is a tearoom (cafe) situated in Birsay, Orkney. Birsay Bay Tearoom specialise in light lunches and homebakes, prepared on the premises, and utilising Orkney produce wherever and whenever possible. Birsay Bay Tearoom was established in 2006 adjacent to the family run Market Garden, famous for growing Birsay Tomatoes. Birsay Bay Tearoom Salad Bar utilises as many home grown salads as possible, many of which are also for sale in our Birsay Bay Farm Shop. The Farm Shop also stocks a range of Tomato Chutneys made (in Orkney) from Birsay Tomatoes. The Tearoom is situated on an elevated site overlooking Birsay Bay and is close to a large number of historic sites of interest, craft and artist studios and many areas of natural beauty and wildlife. Birsay is located in the North-west "corner" of Orkney mainland and is a favourite destination for locals and visitors who come to enjoy the unique Birsay environment.
