About A Framing
Contemporary art frames. Requires, in most instances, finished frames rather more subtle than those available from the general market, I have designed a range of my own. The idea is to allow the grain of the wood to show through any decoration applied. I set up my first picture gallery in 1976. Over the years I have seen fashions change for frames in tandem with the art that they present. I can remember a time when the largest selling mountboard was dark brown! Today, we tend to let the artwork do the shouting and, surely, that is as it should be
