•After 20 years of working in the hotel industry I have seen many changes but non more than within the cleaning/housekeeping department, with more and more hotels contracting out housekeeping the standard now being offered has slipped to a well below level of standard. I took what some might deem a drastic measure in quitting as a hotel General Manager and setting up my own cleaning company.
